Which library floors can I do my group work in?

Answer

The fourth and fifth floors are ideal for group work, the only restrictions on volume is that you speak in a normal conversational voice, no yelling across the floor to your groupmates.

The first and third floors are meant to be low-volume, so better for small groups. Group work is allowed but discussion should be made at the volume where only the group can hear you.

Please do not take your group work to the 2nd floor, it is a quiet floor.

Please see the below chart for information on what floors are what noise-level in the library.

The noise levels for each floor in the library are listed. 4th and 5th floors are designated for normal conversational voices. 1st and 3rd floors are for small-group work, where you are speaking so that only your group can hear you. 2nd floor is spy talk, whispering so that only one person can hear you.
