If the book I've borrowed with ILL is overdue, what happens?

While ILL items do not have overdue fees, if an item is not returned promptly and we receive an invoice from the original lending library, the total amount of the invoice will be applied as a banner hold until the item is returned or the fine is paid. The amount put in on the hold depends on what the original lending library charges our library for replacing the unreturned item.
