Q. Will I get a fine if my book is overdue?

Answer

There are no overdue fines for books from our collection. However, if a book is kept 4 weeks past its due date, it is marked as lost, and your account will be fined for that. The fine is $45 for an engineering book and $35 for all other materials.

If you return the book, the fine is taken off. You can also make sure you don't receive this fine if you renew your book before it is overdue. If there is not a hold placed on the book, you can also renew it after it is overdue and the fine will be taken off your account.

While ILL items do not have overdue fees, if an item is not returned promptly and we receive an invoice from the original lending library, the total amount of the invoice will be applied as a banner hold until the item is returned or the fine is paid.
