How do I use a citation generator for my paper?

Answer

Citation generators are programs or tools that will take the information you put in regarding your sources and give you the citation you need for your paper in the style of your choice (APA, MLA, Chicago, etc).

You can download a program like Zotero which you can use to put in your in-text or footnote citations in your paper, as well as organize your sources and create a bibliography.

There are also some that are free sites that will let you do citations for each source individually like:

BibMe - Search for the books, articles or other media in your paper and generate a citation for it. It has the added bonus, if you register, of letting you change the style of your citations after you've already generated them.

Citation Machine - Search for books, articles or other media to generate a citation, as well as generate the citation manually.

Knight Cite - Enter in the information concerning your source and generate a citation for it.
