Q. How do I put materials on reserve?

Answer

To put an item on reserve, please use the Faculty Reserve Form on our site for each item you want to put on reserve.

Putting an item on reserve allows it to be kept at the Circulation Desk to facilitate students to take it out more easily.

Reserve requests must be submitted at least two working days before the material will be needed. If reserve material needs to be purchased, the request must be made six weeks in advance.

Faculty can place personal copies of books or other materials on reserve and the media will be returned to them at the end of the semester. Interlibrary loan material cannot be placed on reserve.

At the end of every semester, reserve materials are placed back into circulation. At the start of each semester reserve forms must be completed again, even if the same material is being used in consecutive semesters.

You can see our full reserve policy on the Faculty Services section of the site.
